Experienced Adult Social Worker – Community Mental Health Team – Liverpool City Council

Liverpool City Council is recruiting an Experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Community Mental Health Team based at Moss House. This is a vital role supporting adults with complex mental health needs, working within a multidisciplinary framework to deliver person-centred, recovery-focused support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of adults with mental health conditions, providing holistic and strength-based social work interventions.
  • Undertake Care Act assessments, Mental Capacity Act (MCA) assessments, and safeguarding enquiries.
  • Develop care and support plans in partnership with service users, carers, and multi-agency teams.
  • Support individuals to achieve personal goals, reduce risks, and promote recovery and independence.
  • Liaise with health, housing, and voluntary sector partners to provide integrated support to individuals.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with Social Work England registration.
  • Significant experience in adult mental health and community-based social work.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Skilled in risk assessment, multi-agency collaboration, and care planning.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Moss House, Liverpool (L19 2NA).
  • Full-time: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30).
  • Inside IR35.
