Senior Social Worker – Adult Mental Health – London Borough of Bexley

The London Borough of Bexley is recruiting a Senior Social Worker to join its Adult Mental Health Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services and make a positive impact on the lives of adults across the borough.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a complex caseload, working with adults experiencing mental health challenges.
• Undertake Care Act assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and Mental Capacity Act assessments.
• Develop person-centred care and support plans, ensuring recovery-focused and strengths-based approaches.
• Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to promote integrated and effective interventions.
• Provide support and guidance to less experienced colleagues where appropriate.

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with Social Work England registration.
• Strong experience in adult mental health social work and care coordination.
• In-depth knowledge of the Care Act 2014, MCA 2005, safeguarding, and mental health legislation.
• Excellent communication and risk management skills.

Additional Information:

• Location: Erith Centre, Bexley.
• Full-time: 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00).
• Inside IR35.
